Life of an Intern at Gushcloud Philippines: An enjoyable experience with a fun-loving and creative team

August 8, 2018

Gushcloud Philippines has an internship program to let selected college students experience what's it like to work in an influencer marketing and entertainment industry. Interns are accepted for different positions, and given respective tasks during their stay in the company.

For two months, Gushcloud Philippines had Andrea Tagaban and Hans Calderon from Ateneo de Manila University as interns for Global Creators Studios unit. Andrea was in charge of accounts, and Hans handled creatives.

Andrea and Hans were interviewed during their last week to share their internship experience at Gushcloud Philippines. Read more to know their answers!

Q: Why did you choose to work with Gushcloud Philippines?

Andrea: Looking at Gushcloud's website, I found their work interesting. It's something I was planning to do when i graduate. The overall vibe as well was something I admired. I didn't have a lot of expectations going in, but after meeting everyone and getting through the first day, I started to look forward to be around enjoyable company.

Hans: As an intern, working at Gushcloud is a wonderful way to gain and share experience, and continue learning while doing real work in a dynamic environment. Being in this company made me feel that I'm one of them. Being able to work with them within a fostering environment is surely a reason to be excited working with Gushcloud.

Q: What was your memorable experience during the internship?

Andrea: One of my memorable experiences during the internship would have to be filming for Subkultura and Nikki Bagaporo. Through we only shot a handful of times, and I wasn't directly involved with them, it was great to see the process on how they do prod and to be out of the office. Being able to try new things for Subkultura and getting to meet Nikki was a highlight of my internship. Watching everyone have fun with what they're working on was an added motivation.

Hans: My most memorable experience during my stay here in Gushcloud is doing field work. We get to hear the stories of real people and the world outside of our daily living. Gushcloud offers its interns the opportunity to grow not just inside their office, but also let you gain new experience through connecting with a larger and more diverse group of individuals which is why the experience they gave me is a great avenue to grow.

Q: What have you learnt from your internship at Gushcloud Philippines?

Andrea: I think I've learnt how to be more versatile with the work I'm doing in Gushcloud. Everyday in the office was doing something new, and learning something new.

Hans: One of the things I learnt is to always do your best. Always work hard no matter what you're doing because this will push your boundaries and capabilities to become better. Although my stay here is only for a short time, I see it as a great opportunity to learn, make friends, and gain experience. So with that, I think the best way to do in an internship is to make the most our of it.

Andrea Tagaban is a BS Communications Technology Management student. Eia, as she is more commonly known, also enjoys dance and photography. Hans Calderon is a BFA Information Design student. He is into indie films, music, art, and design.

Currently, Gushcloud Philippines is looking for creative and innovative college students who would like to be immersed in the influencer marketing and entertainment industry. To those interested, feel free to send your CV's to carmela@gushcloud.com.ph.
